A famous South Korean fast food brand is officially opening its first outlet in Singapore soon. Although originally scheduled to open in 2026, the highly-anticipated Lotteria Singapore launches in February 2026 instead. In fact, the Katrina Group Ltd, who are responsible for bringing the iconic brand into the Singapore market, revealed plans for wider expansion to other locations after its debut next year. The brand’s entry marks the first partnership between Katrina Group and South Korea’s Lotte GRS. While the exact location of the first outlet remains unknown, here are key facts about Lotteria’s launch into Singapore.
Why will Lotteria be popular in Singapore?
Lotteria is a well-known burger chain known for its Korean-style burgers and diverse menu in South Korea. It serves unique items like bulgogi, shrimp K-burgers, fried chicken dishes, cheese sticks, ice cream, and other delicious Korean fast food specialties. Founded in 1979, Lotteria has expanded significantly now boasting more than 1,600 outlets worldwide, including in the United States, Vietnam, and Cambodia.
The Katrina Group—experienced in managing Korean food brands such as Daily Beer—believes Lotteria will elevate Singapore’s F&B landscape by offering fresh excitement, a fusion of flavours, and authentic Korean fast food items. Plus, the brand will expand into Malaysia in the near future.
Lotteria Singapore’s opening had initially been aimed for 2025 but was delayed to early 2026 for unknown reasons. Despite this, anticipation among food enthusiasts remains extremely high as fans get excited about exclusive Singapore menu items, alongside classic Korean favourites.
Certainly, Lotteria’s entry into the Singapore food scene is a notable development for both Korean cuisine lovers and the fast food industry. Overall, it promises a new wave of Korean-style burgers and fast food delights to the island-city.
