Japan’s largest secondhand store chain, 2nd Street, is set to make its highly-anticipated debut in Singapore this April 2025. The new outlet will be located at the basement of 313@Somerset, occupying units #B1-23 to 32, a space previously held by Pomelo. 2nd Street is known for a large selection of pre-loved luxury and streetwear items. The Singapore store will be an exciting addition to the growing thrift scene in city as it launches in the Lion City for the first time. Here’s what we know about 2nd Street thrift store in Singapore:
2nd Street Singapore
Singapore’s 2nd Street joins its global network of more than 900 stores across Japan, the United States, Thailand, Malaysia, Taiwan, and other countries.
The Singapore outlet spans 6,198 square feet and is set to offer more than 40,000 secondhand items imported from Japan. Shoppers can expect a treasure trove of premium pre-loved goods, including apparel, accessories, shoes, and even furniture. In fact, the store is famous for carrying designer brands like Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Nike, Supreme, Hermès, and more at accessible prices. Additionally, customers have the option to sell their own pre-loved items and receive on-the-spot appraisals for cash.
Prices have not yet been released for the Singapore store. However, 2nd Street outlets in Japan usually offer items ranging from ¥4,000 to ¥10,000 (S$35 to S$90). So items may remain budget-friendly for thrift enthusiasts and shoppers seeking sustainable fashion options. Although, it’s prime location on Orchard Road may impact its pricing.
The exact date for opening in late April 2025 is unknown. Nevertheless, 2nd Street Singapore thrift store reflects a growing demand for secondhand luxury goods and sustainable shopping practices. Definitely, we expect it to become a go-to shopping destination for local thrift shoppers.
