Always wanted to go to Japan? But flights are just too expensive. Well now is your chance because a (newish) airline – Air Japan – under ANA is offering budget flights from Singapore to Tokyo. The low-cost airline’s flight route will begin in April 2024 with prices starting $179 including free carry-on luggage, in-flight meals, and more.
Cheap flights to Japan
Air Japan’s flights from Changi Airport in Singapore to Tokyo’s Narita Airport will begin on April 26. Five flights will depart in each direction weekly. This includes flights on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The flight time time is around seven hours each way.
In fact, the flight times are perfect for Singaporeans because they are scheduled at night. Flights are set to depart Singapore at 12.55am and arrive in Tokyo at 9.10am. Meanwhile, flights leave Tokyo at 5.35pm and arrive in Singapore at 11.55pm.
Travellers can select from three types of Air Japan fares. These are Simple, Standard, and Selected. The Simple fare is perfect for a quick holiday to Japan from $179 including a 7kg carry-on bag each way. While the Standard fare begins at $217 with a 7kg carry-on baggage allowance, 23kg checked bag and seat selection. Additionally, the Selected fare is from $264 with a 7kg carry-on bag, two pieces of checked-in luggage at 23kg each, in-flight meals, and seat selection.

Who are Air Japan?
Air Japan first launched in 1990 as World Air Network before suspending operations in 1995. However, they relaunched as Air Japan in 2001 before being acquired by ANA. Air Japan was then rebranded as a low-cost airline in 2022 using its Boeing 787-8 aircrafts.
The budget-friendly airline is also offering cheap flights from Tokyo to Seoul Incheon and Bangkok for those who want to do backpacking or solo trip around Asia.
