Singapore is in no short supply of entertaining activities. From thrilling island attractions on Sentosa to rooftop hangs, garden and cocktail workshops at The Sundowner, there’s plenty to do that will amuse and delight as well as expand your knowledge and open you up to new experiences.
For those that have an interest in painting but don’t necessarily have the space to splatter paint at home, Art Pop Studio in Singapore is busting out the colours, the canvasses and all the tools you need to create your own work of art. Whether you’re a fan of more abstract and chaotic artwork or you prefer a piece that’s more understated, they’ve got the art workshop to interest the young and the young-at-heart.
Balloon Splatter Art Workshop
Although one of the easiest and simplest artworks you could make, the Balloon Splatter Art Workshop at Art Pop Studio will actually prove that there’s a lot more to creating interesting and cohesive splatter art.
To begin, participants will learn how to mix colours and how to properly layer their paints so that they achieve the desired paint splats when it’s time for them to step into the splash zone—that’s where the magic happens. After suiting up in protective clothing, filling their eight balloons with paint and pinning them to the canvas, participants will take aim and throw their darts at their paint-filled balloon targets.
Pop and splat goes the paint across the canvass to create your very own, unique and colourful splatter art.
Available from Wednesday through to Sunday, the 60-90 minute workshops include a 40cm x 50cm canvas, protective gear, and all the paint and tools you need. And, when you book your art workshop through Fever, you get complimentary delivery of your artwork/s so there’s no need to organise how you’ll get your painting home.
Minimalist Textured Wall Art Workshop
If loud and formless painting is not for you, then take a look at Art Pop Studio’s Minimalist Textured Wall Art Workshop.
Eschewing chance and randomness, this art workshop in Singapore is all about creating a textured pattern on the canvass that speaks to you. Across two sessions (one after the other), participants will use modern techniques to produce a minimalist and textured artwork using a paste, not dissimilar to the pieces peppering social media feeds, and finish it off with a lick of paint—unless they prefer to keep their creation off-white.
Each session lasts for approximately 60-90 minutes, and includes a 40cm x 40cm canvas, 250ml painting medium, and all the tools and paints necessary. Again, a complimentary courier service to one address is available for Fever ticket holders. Sessions take place at 5pm on Wednesday-Sunday.
Art Pop Studio in Singapore offers step-by-step guidance in all of its workshops so that no budding artist is left behind. Unfortunately, children won’t be able to partake in the Minimalist Textured Wall Art Workshop.
Get creative in 2023 with these experiential workshops and create your own artwork to take home. Hang it on the wall, or gift it to someone who’ll give it a loving home.
