This comical American sci-fi movie is one of our favourite current movies on Netflix. It follows two astronomers, Dr Randall Mindy (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Kate Dibiasky (Jennifer Lawrence), who must warn mankind about a comet threatening to destroy the planet. With a blockbuster cast, from Ariana Grande, Meryl Streep, Timothée Chalamet, Jonah Hill and more…you won’t be disappointed.

2. Govinda Govinda

This Netflix Bollywood flick tells the tale of three college slackers, who decide to fake a friend’s kidnapping to help her escape her tyrant father. Indeed, the plan works well until she meets a strange reality. Certainly, one of the most epic Netflix comedies to watch.

3. The Guide To A Perfect Family

This French-language Canadian Netflix movie follows a couple in Quebec. They deal with the highs and lows of raising their children in a social-media obsessed world, where expectations are based of social media. Definitely, the comical family moments will be relatable to most viewers.

4. Red Notice

This hilarious $200 million blockbuster thriller movie is being absorbed by households worldwide. With a stellar cast, from Ryan Reynolds, Gal Gadot, Dwayne Johnson, and more…you know it’s going to be good. It follows an FBI agent who attempts to capture a smart crook, who is the world’s most wanted art thief.

5. Bridesmaids

This romantic comedy is arguably, one of the most hilarious ever made. It tells the tale of jobless Annie (Kristen Wiig), a single woman with a messy life. When her lifelong bestie, Lillian (Maya Rodolph) gets engaged, she is asked to be the Maid Of Honor. However, she is conflicted with one of Lillian’s other bridesmaid, the beautiful and rich, Helen (Rose Byrne) who would rather expensive celebrations. Indeed, you’ll be LOLing off the couch this weekend.

6. Minions

Certainly, you don’t need to be a kid to get the brilliant jokes in this 2015 movie. Indeed, it follows the banana-yellow, linguistically garbled servants from Despicable Me. After their former villain master is defeated, the Minions lose their purpose. But Kevin has a plan to find a new evil boss to follow which leads them to discover the world’s first-ever super-villainess.

7. Mimi

This 2021 Indian comedy-drama flick starring Kriti Sanon tells the tale of an aspiring actress in a small town in India, who agrees to be the surrogate mother for an American couple, in order to earn a sum of money.  Though, things don’t go according to plan. Indeed, this movie will make you laugh your head off but also get you a tad bit emotional.

8. Friends

Still, 18 years later, this series is one of the greatest Netflix comedies that never fails to make us laugh at the same jokes. Let Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Joey, Ross and Chandler provide you with some LOLs this lockdown as they navigate life experiences, from love to marriage to plenty of divorces, cough cough Ross, to heartbreaks and all sorts of craziness.

9. Superbad

This 2007 comedy blockbuster never gets old. It follows three nerdy best friends, while they navigate their last few weeks of high school. When they are invited to a huge party, they go on a mission to try and secure alcohol, to impress girls, and get some sex before college. Unfortunately, they end up in serious ropes of trouble. The hilarious dialogue, McLovin’s epic one-liners, and memorable characters will have you rolling off the couch with laughter.

10. Sausage Party

For the adults that love some animation, this comedy adventure flick is just for you. Bizarrely, it tells the story of talking food items in a local supermarket. Frank (Seth Rogen) the sausage, and his gang of friends, from a Hot Dog Bun, to a Taco, and more desire to be purchased by humans. However, they soon learn that they will be eaten. Therefore, they devise a plan to escape from being captured by humans. Definitely, one of the best Netflix comedies to watch.

11. Tuesdays & Fridays

This 2021 India movie follows a millennial lawyer and a writer, Varun and Sia, who have commitment issues. Therefore, they agree to be romantic partners for only two days a week. Set in London, and India, it’s the perfect Bollywood movie to get you laughing this weekend.

12. Back To The Future Trilogy

First released back in 1985, these movies never get old. The first movie, which was the highest grossing movie of 1985, follows Marty, who travels back in time using a scientific time machine. He is determined to make his high-school-aged parents fall in love so that he will of course, be born, and in turn, be able to return to the present day. There are plenty of hilarious moments to keep you entertained.


13. Shrek

This 2001 animated comedy movie follows a reclusive ogre, Shrek, who embarks on a journey with a hilarious donkey to get fairytale creatures off his land. However, if he wants the creatures to leave, he must rescue Princess Fiona as part of a quest from an arrogant lord. Certainly, a fantastic comedy movie to watch this weekend.

14. Ginny & Georgia

This treasured Netflix series follows an awkward 15-year-old Ginny Miller (Antonia Gentry) and her 30-year-old free-spirited mother, Georgia Miller (Brianne Howey) as they settle down in New England after years on the run. Though, Georgia’s past threatens any sort of possibility of a normal life. Amongst the emotion and drama, you can expect to get plenty of bellyaches filled with laughter.

15. Pitch Perfect 1, 2 & 3

Let the iconic Rebel Wilson, Anna Kendrick, Brittany Snow, and more famous faces, brighten up your day with this musical comedy trilogy. It follows a group of diverse girls, from mean chicks to odd girls, who would never be friends, only that they have found common ground while singing together. Their group enters top music competitions, and this leads the way for the story to unfold over three hilarious movies.

16. Forest Gump

It features Oscar-winning Tom Hanks, as Forrest, a gentleman with a very low IQ, who recounts his childhood and the events that shaped his life after finding himself in the middle of major key historical events. 17. Sex Education

This sex comedy drama series is, arguably, the funniest show you will ever watch. Catch up on season one, two and three now which follows a teenage boy, Otis (Asa Butterfield) with an embarrassing sex therapist mother (Gillian Anderson). Otis, with help from a classmate, secretly and mistakenly sets up a sex therapy clinic at school in exchange for money.

18. Dead To Me

This American series follows two women, Jen and Judy, who strike up a friendship after bonding over their grief. It begins with the hit-and-run of Jen’s cheating husband, and she uses anger as an outlet for her grief. 20. AndhaDhun

This laugh-out-loud 2018 black comedy crime thriller follows Akash, an excellent piano player who is pretending to be blind. His conscious gets the better of him when he becomes entangled in multiple problems, one being that he is the witness to a murder of a former actor. 21. Set It Up

This relatable and funny romantic American comedy stars Zoey Deutch and Glenn Powell.
