The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) has teamed up with BRIGHT MUSIC to collaborate on the official music video for BTS Jin’s new single, “Don’t Say You Love Me”, from his second solo album Echo. Wonderfully, it sees Jin appreciate the beauty of Singapore at eight filming locations. This collaboration is part of STB’s ongoing strategy to leverage global pop culture partnerships in order to present Singapore’s vibrant cityscape and hidden gems to worldwide audiences through the lens of superstars, such as this major K-pop artist. Here’s what we know about the new music video by Jin filmed in Singapore.
Which are Jins’ filming locations in Singapore?
The music video, released globally on May 16, was filmed at several of Singapore’s most iconic landmarks. These include the National Gallery Singapore, Cloud Forest at Gardens By The Bay, Singapore Flyer, Andersons Bridge, Marina Bay Residences, as well as urban neighbourhood treasures like Emerald Hill, Goldhill Plaza, and Keng Eng Kee Seafood.
The famous South Korean singer is seen exploring some of Singapore’s top tourist attractions. For instance, the video opens with a scene of Jin on the rooftop of Goldhill Plaza with sweeping city views in the background. Later, he is shown reflecting inside a modern apartment at Marina Bay Residences, before fleeting moments take place at Bukit Merah’s Keng Eng Kee Seafood, to name a few scenes.
Interestingly, South Korea actress Shin Se-Kyung plays the love interest of Jin in the music video, which further enhances the visual storytelling, against the dramatic backdrop of the city. One significant scene shows Jin and her inside National Gallery Singapore.
STB’s executive director for North Asia, Serene Tan, emphasized that the collaboration was designed to showcase Singapore’s culture, nature, and architecture in a unique way and inspire viewers to see the city from a fresh perspective. Certainly, the music video illustrates the diverse charms of Singapore to a global audience blending music, emotional storytelling, and travel offerings. Watch the video below.
