The rumours are true. Candlelight is illuminating Singapore this season with a number of concerts celebrating the works of some of the most iconic composers and performers of our time. For such a special occasion, Candlelight is partnering with Singapore’s premium venues, like Arts House, Victoria Concert Hall and CHIJMES Hall to offer its guests an unforgettable musical experience.
This is not your typical classical music concert. Accompanying the talented musicians during their performance will be hundreds of flickering candles, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for every music fan. You can catch tributes to artists like Adele, Jay Chou, Coldplay, Vivaldi, and many more. You’ll get to sit back, relax and be carried away by the music.

Arts House: historic and culturally-relevant
Everyone knows the Arts House in Singapore. Housed in the historic Old Parliament House, the Arts House is a multidisciplinary arts centre that showcases a diverse range of exhibitions and performances. It’s become an essential platform for local and international artists, offering a space for creative expression and fostering cultural exchange. The impressive and daunting Arts House Chamber in particular accommodates up to 200 people. Its rich history and unique atmosphere have made it a beloved institution for many Singaporeans and an ideal venue for magical classical music performances.
Victoria Concert Hall: elegance and grandeur
This significant landmark was built in 1905 and it was initially known as the Town Hall, serving as a gathering place for political and social events during Singapore’s colonial period. What resonates the most with visitors, is its stunning neoclassical style architecture, featuring a grand facade that exudes elegance and sophistication. In 2014, after extensive restoration work, the concert hall reopened to the public with improved acoustics, making it a perfect place for classical music performances and intimate concerts under candlelight.
CHIJMES Hall: a multi-purpose venue
CHIJMES is a beautifully restored complex with a rich history dating back to the 19th century. Built originally as a Catholic convent school for girls, then used as a hospital during World War II, and in the 1980s it was transformed into the vibrant entertainment hub that is today. Fortunately, four decades later it hosts a series of Candlelight concerts that have left every audience member in awe.
Candlelight has charmed audiences worldwide and Singapore will be no exception, with guests deeming it as “very impressive!!! Beautiful musicians are very professional.” This season, the concert series is celebrating the greatest names in music in the most enchanting venues Singapore has to offer, including Arts House, Victoria Concert Hall and CHIJMES Hall.
