Eligible households in Singapore are entitled to up to $400 in the climate vouchers scheme as of April 15, 2025. The climate vouchers in Singapore encourage the adoption of energy and water-efficient appliances. This initiative, part of the Climate Friendly Households Programme (CFHP), aims to helps families reduce utility bills and contribute to national sustainability goals. Here’s what we know about the expanded climate voucher scheme in Singapore:
What are climate vouchers?
Singaporean and Permanent Resident HDB households can apply for an additional $100 in Climate Vouchers, on top of the existing $300, which was distributed in 2024. Excellently, this means that eligible HDB and private households (for the first time) can claim a total of $400 worth of Climate Vouchers. These vouchers are valid for use until December 31, 2027.
Wonderfully, the climate vouchers can be redeemed at more than 180 participating retailers, both in physical stores and online. Shoppers can buy a wide range of energy and water-efficient household appliances and fittings. Items include refrigerators, air-conditioners, LED lights, washing machines, water closets, taps, direct current fans, heat pump water heaters, mixers, showering fittings, and more.
All products must meet minimum efficiency standards as set by the National Environment Agency (NEA).
How do I apply?
Households must have at least one Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident registered at the address to qualify for the climate voucher scheme. Each eligible household, whether a HDB flat or a private residential property, is entitled to one set of $300 vouchers and one set of $100 vouchers.
These vouchers can be claimed online via RedeemSG using SingPass authentication. Otherwise, visit the government claim page. Additionally, these vouchers are given out in denominations of $2, $5, $10, and $50, to provide flexibility for various purchases. Learn more via NEA.
Overall, the climate voucher programme has helped more than 870,000 HDB households in Singapore. It reflects Singapore’s commitment to climate action and supporting the environment as well as the cost-of-living crisis.
