The much-anticipated launch of the Disney Adventure Cruise—Disney’s first vessel dedicated to the Asian market – has been postponed from December 15, 2025 to March 10, 2026 over unexpected shipbuilding delays impacting its final delivery and readiness for guests. Unfortunately, this will affect up to 25 scheduled sailings and as many as 160,000 passengers—many of whom had already made travel arrangements for the ship’s original December 2025 debut from its homeport in Singapore. Here’s what we know about the Disney Cruise Singapore postponement.
Disney Adventure Cruise delayed by 3 months
Disney Cruise Line stated the postponement from Singapore is necessary to ensure the experience reflects the company’s commitment to excellence—citing lingering challenges in completing the vessel to its exact standard. The Disney Adventure—which began as an unfinished project acquired from Genting Hong Kong’s Dream Cruises—has faced problems in its construction recovery, prompting the 3-month pushback to allow builders to finish the ship and full testing to take place before guests board.
Instead, the maidan voyage of the Disney Adventure Cruise from Singapore will depart on March 10, 2026. According to a statement, affected guests booked on the original sailings are being contacted directly with rebooking options, including a full refund and a 50% discount on the future Disney cruise. Meanwhile, those scheduled for the maidan voyage are automatically moved to the March 2026 sailing and will receive their cruise fare at half price.
However, Disney will not compensate for flights or hotels already booked. This policy has disappointment many international travellers. Despite the delay, Disney Cruise Line affirmed its commitment to homeporting the Adventure in Singapore for at least five years.

The Disney Adventure promises a one-of-a-kind themed sailing experience for families in the region from 2026. Cruisers can expect unique attractions and seven immersive zones including Marvel Landing—which features the world’s longest roller coaster at sea—and other fun activities.
