We know the feeling, when you buy a new book, and you swear upon the heavens that you’ll read it. But then weeks, months or even years pass, and it’s still sitting on your shelf, untouched and dusty, next to all your other unread books.
However, you can now give your unread books a second life at The Library Of Unread Books. Located on the first floor of International Plaza, the mobile library boasts a collection of over 700 books, donated by people nationally.
Delightfully, you’ll receive a free lifetime membership at the library in exchange for just one book. Plus, each membership gets you a personalised library card. The clever concept was invented by artists Heman Chong and Renee Staal.
Although, there’s one catch – you can’t take the books home. Visitors must read them at the pop-up library so be sure to bring a coffee before getting cosy for a reading session.
The Library Of Unread Books will be at International Plaza until March 19, 2023.
