Worried about grocery costs? FairPrice wants to make your life easier by freezing prices on 100 daily items for limited time. In a major move to help Singaporeans navigate the rising cost of living, FairPrice Group has put a price freeze on 100 popular daily essentials from now until May 31, 2026. The initiative aims to cushion households from the economic impact of ongoing geopolitical volatility and supply chain disruptions. Alongside the price lock, FairPrice is stepping up its support for vulnerable communities by doubling the weekly grocery discounts for Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS) Blue and Orange cardholders. Here’s what we know.
How can Singaporeans maximise their grocery savings during this period?
Shoppers can easily identify the locked-in items both in-store and online by looking for a dedicated Price Freeze label. The curated basket of 100 essential products was carefully selected based on the purchasing habits of nine in ten lower-income households. Meanwhile, it covers a wide range of pantry staples and household necessities, including rices, cooking oil, fresh eggs, frozen and fresh poultry, milk, baby diapers, and cleaning products.
Additionally, the doubled CHAS discounts provide an extraordinary financial boost for families who feel the pinch right now. Backed by the FairPrice Foundation, the discount for CHAS cardholders will temporarily jump from the usual 3% to a generous 6%. Eligible CHAS Blue cardholders can enjoy this enhanced discount on their grocery runs every Thursday, while CHAS Orange cardholders can tap into savings every Friday.

To claim the benefit, shoppers simply need to present their CHAS cards at the cashier or select the appropriate option at self-checkpoint kiosks.
Overall, FairPrice hopes to alleviate the stress of budgeting for everyday necessities during a time of market uncertainty over the next few weeks. Certainly, this ensures that nutritious meals and staple household items remain within reach for everyone.
