Another charming new restaurant has popped up in Singapore. Under Der Linden is a little out of town, but offers an elegant European food experience amongst nature.
Excitingly, this instagrammable floral café was curated by the crowd behind Café De Nicole’s Flowers and latest hotspot Le Jardin. Certainly, you’ll be treated to the greatest botanical affair with plenty of photo ops.
Situated at Portsdown Road, social media enthusiasts adore the floral archway entrance, along with an in-house florist, mirrors, wall murals and lots of plants and flowers spread across the pet-friendly indoor and outdoor dining area.
The café takes inspiration from medieval German lyrical poet Walther Von Der Vogelweide. Hence why the setting is infused with flowers, a calligraphy wall and lime trees, further heightening a romantic European atmosphere to embrace nature.
Both dining areas boast marvellous vintage backdrops. For instance, the breezy alfresco dining area exhibits black and white marble flooring and tables, preserving the colonial charm. Equally, the indoor space resembles a cosy modern European restaurant.
Amongst the fairytale setting, diners can enjoy a variety of European-inspired dishes. Such as, small and large platters like Galician Octopus , pastas like Squid Ink Spaghetti, sides such as truffle fries, to name a few.
Additionally, be sure to try their renowned dessert cakes. Think Lovely Earl Grey Lavender Cake and The Chamomile Mango Swiss Roulade. Meanwhile, their creative beverages also go down a treat. For instance, unique fruit juices, coffees and my personal favourite, a colourful refreshing grapefruit tea called The Tandaradei.
Definitely, you’ll feel classy and elegant at this enchanting new floral café in Singapore. Certainly, an excellent photoshoot location.
