According to the Ministry Of Health, 90% of Singapore’s total population has been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Additionally, as of February 16, 2022, 92% of the total population in Singapore received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Meanwhile, double jabbed rates stand at 94% of the eligible population.
Wonderfully, 65% of the total population received their booster shots making Singapore’s booster programme one of the most advanced in the world. Likewise, over 90% of people aged between 12 and over 80 completed the full regime of vaccination.
Interestingly, Singapore is seeing high numbers of parents vaccinating children under 12 because only 35% of Singaporean children are currently unvaccinated. For more statistics, visit the MOH website.
Indeed, COVID-19 vaccinations have been proven to protect us against severe illness and potential death. Currently, there’s many walk-in vaccination centres if you are unvaccinated or would like to be fully vaccinated in Singapore.
Presently, Singapore is administering Moderna, Pfizer-BioNTech and Sinovac vaccines.
COVID-19 was first detected in Wuhan, China in early December 2019. Since then, it has spread across the globe, infecting over 418 million people, with 5.85 million deaths as of February 17, 2022.
