One of the world’s most spectacular bridges is hidden in the sky just a short flight from Singapore. Golden Hands Bridge, known as Cầu Vàng in Vietnamese, is located in the Sun World Amusement Park just 45 minutes drive from the city centre of Da Nang in Vietnam. Here’s everything you need to know about visiting the stunning Golden Hands Bridge in Vietnam.
Golden Hands Bridge
The beautiful pedestrian bridge, is like heaven on earth in Sun World Ba Na Hills, sitting at a height of 1,487 metres above sea level. After being unveiled in June 2018, Golden Hands Bridge was named as one of the ”Top 10 Best Destinations In The World” by TIME magazine.
The masterpiece structure is held up by two giant stone hands making it one of the world’s greatest man-made wonders. The 150-metre-long pedestrian bridge sits atop the mountains overlooking the Vietnamese landscape giving off a mystical vibe. The huge hands resemble the hands of god cradling the bridge. Meanwhile, the hands symbolise the connection between the earth and the sky. It was designed by TA Landscape Architecture and took 11 months to construct.
Marvelously, you can only reach the bridge by taking the world’s longest cable car ride from Hoi An Station to the entrance. This station is one of five record-breaking and award-winning cable car routes throughout the theme park. Once I reached the summit via cable car, we spotted the Golden Bridge sticking out, and it was one of the most breathtaking scenes my eyes ever witnessed.
The otherworldly tourist attraction is one of the most photographed places in Asia. Meanwhile, Ba Na Hills Resort is home to many other exciting attractions.
Discover a tranquil French Village like a scene from Beauty And The Beast to unique structures like a giant buddha, larger-than-life chessboards, heavenly gardens, majestic castles, and more fun activities blending different cultures. Feel relaxed as soothing music plays throughout the park. Plus, there are more than 30 restaurants in the theme park.
Best time to visit and entry costs
To visit one of the coolest bridges in the world – Golden Hands Bridge – you need to pay entry to Sun World Ba Na Hills Theme Park. Tourist prices are VND850.000 (S$45) for an adult and VND 700.000 (S$37) for a child. Get tickets on the Sun World website.
The theme park is open from 8.30am to 10pm. We recommend visiting first thing in the morning when it opens or else just before sunset when the crowds tend to disperse before dark. Definitely, it’s one of the world’s greatest places and a bucket list destination.
Our advice is to be cautious of the weather below, because on the day of my visit, it was raining in Da Nang. However, once I reached the summit high above the clouds…it was sunny and like another world. After all, there are nearly 3,000 positive reviews on Google.
