A stunning Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill is set to open in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia on June 18. Indeed, this dining experience will become one of the most sough-after in Asia. Conveniently, it’s located a one hour flight or three hours drive from Singapore.
Located at Sunway Resort, it will be the first Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill outside the United Kingdom as part of a once-in-a-generation transformation at the resort. Wonderfully, the restaurant takes inspiration from one of Ramsay’s most popular in London, Savoy Grill.
THE SPACE
The 150-seater space features a robust design with a rich red and green colour scheme. Alongside a bright cocktail bar and cellar, private dining spaces, semi-private booths that are perfect for dates, monochrome displays of British icons such as Sir Mick Jagger, topped with pops of gold and floor-to-ceiling windows.
THE FOOD
The exquisite menu boasts a range of highlights popular in the United Kingdom branches. Think Classic Beef Wellington served tableside, Spiced Beef Tartare with egg yolk confit, delicious Arnold Bennett Twice-Baked Cheese Souffle with mornay sauce, to name a few. Indeed, they are cooked up using the finest ingredients by a team of Ramsay-trained experts.
Additionally, cocktail lovers can enjoy an array of classics with a Malaysian twist. Meanwhile, the exclusive wine cellar offers regular tastings and an extensive global wine list.
Gordon Ramsay stated, “This is a concept that was born in London and exudes the British sophistication created out of its original Mayfair setting – we always wanted to introduce Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill to an international setting once we had found the perfect partners and the perfect location. Malaysia is a wonderful country with a rich heritage, and I am confident that local guests and international visitors will have an exceptional dining experience in our beautiful new restaurant.”
This Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill is part of an expanding network of Gordon Ramsay restaurants worldwide including seven Michelin starred eateries. As mentioned, the only other grills that exist are in Mayfair, Chelsea and Park Walk in London. Consequently, this is a privileged dining experience.
