This Gorgeous Garden In Singapore Was Named The 8th Highest Rated Gardens In The World

Singapore offers an array of world-class attractions and some of the most beautiful gardens in the world. A study was recently conducted by Insure And Go on the best countries for plant lovers which included our neighbours Malaysia and Thailand among the Top 10. Interestingly, a sub section of the report reviewed gardens around the world, by analysing more than 100 of the world’s most well-known gardens, and one of Singapore’s hidden gems made the list of the highest rated gardens globally.

World’s Most Highly Rated Gardens

The analysis was created by looking at green spaces globally which have the most reviews of four stars or higher. Surprisingly, Gardens By The Bay did not stand out as one of top-rated gardens on this list and instead National Orchid Garden Singapore was recognised as the eight highest rated garden in the world.

In fact, National Orchid Garden boasts an impressive 96.5% of reviews sitting at five stars on Google. Additionally, the lush Boyce Thompson Arboretum in Arizona took first place as the world’s best garden to visit for travellers with 97.7%, followed by Plas Cadnant Hidden Gardens Anglesey in Wales at second place, Missouri Botanical Garden, Melbourne’s Royal Botanic Gardens, and Jardí del Túria in Valencia, respectively.

Here are the top eight world’s most highly rated gardens according to travellers reviews:

1. Boyce Thompson Arboretum Arizona, USA (97.7%)
2. Plas Cadnant Hidden Gardens Anglesey, Wales (97.5%)
3. Missouri Botanical Garden Missouri, USA (97.4%)
4. Royal Botanic Gardens, Melbourne, Australia (96.9%)
5. Jardí del Túria, Valencia, Spain (96.7%)
6. Bodnant Garden Tal-y-Cafn, Wales (96.6%)
7. Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens Pennsylvania, USA (96.6%)
8. National Orchid Garden, Singapore (96.5%)

It is important to note that National Orchid Garden shares eight place with Trebah Garden Cornwall in England, as well as Hawaii Tropical Botanical Garden, and Pennsylvania’s Longwood Garden in the United States.

Additionally, the United States is home to nine out of the world’s top 20 most highly rated gardens. Certainly, this report is handy for lovers of botanicas around the world.
