Indeed, a wonderful new 5-star reviewed café has popped up in Singapore. Excitingly, ONDA by Park Bench Deli has been impressing those lucky enough to have found it since its opening.
Situated across from Boat Quay, ONDA is the first in a series of smaller concepts from PBD. It features an intimate space where hungry Singaporeans can order a range of irresistible breads and large sandwiches taking influence from Cuban-Miami fare.
Like its mother Park Bench Deli, ONDA serves an array of authentic items and loaded sandwiches in an American deli-style experience in Singapore. Think large soft breads, with a variety of meats and fillings, oozing with flavour.
For instance, customer favourites include The Cubano ($16.50) consisting of sweet ham, lechon, swiss cheese, mustard atop a soft roll, the Cuban Cheese Steak ($16.50) with beef brisket, special cheese sauce, bell peppers and onions and The Hotdog ($14) with a delicious smoked beef frank sausage and fillings.
Equally, the Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup combo ($14) and the Ham and Cheese Dip ($15.50) with a salsa Española dip are unmissable for loaded sandwich lovers.
Other menu highlights includes Cuban-inspired cocktails, hearty coffees and sides such as fried chicharrones, to name a few. Definitely, expect the greatest food porn when it comes to loaded sandwiches in Singapore. Certainly, ONDA is calling you this weekend.
