Singapore’s nightlife is about to get a taste of 1930s Shanghai glamour as the iconic Lulu’s Lounge makes its highly-anticipated return as a modern supper club in the heart of Chinatown. This immersive club revival, emerging six years after the COVID-19 pandemic forced its closure, is the perfect place for those craving a night out that goes beyond the usual city nights. Wonderfully, Lulu’s brings back its signature blend of late night revelry, live cabaret, and elevated dining under one roof. And that’s not even the best part. Excitingly, doors will open with absolutely no cover charge to invite guests to enjoy seamless transitions from early evening dim sum to late night burlesque, jazz, and Chinese cocktails. Here’s what to expect.
What to expect at the revived Lulu’s Lounge
Helmed by the SJS Group and designed by Threaded Creatives alongside Bernard Johnson, the new Chinatown venue aims to immerse guests in atmospheric storytelling. The interiors trade direct replication for subtle nods to Old Shanghai, anchoring the room with a baby grand piano, plush velvet booths, and rich jade hues. Meanwhile, a dynamic lighting schedule naturally shifts the mood from warm and subdued at dusk to kinetic and energetic by midnight, while an analogue jukebox sitting next to the DJ console perfectly captures the venue’s playful juxtaposition of nostalgia and modern rhythm.

The supper club format means the menu is built for lingering and allows guests to graze as the entertainment unfolds. Expect decadent small plates like Hong Kong Prawn Toast, Crispy Aromatic Duck Pancakes, and Oscietra Caviar Siu Mai. To wash it down, the bar programme reimagines classic cocktails with unexpected Asian ingredients. From floral martinis elevated with jasmine tea to osmathus wine…the taste will be an adventure in itself.

Additionally, expect a narrative-driven roster of performances at Lulu’s. Think DJs spinning everything from analogue classics to golden era hip-hop. Plus, the weekly calendar is anchored by three distinct nights: Saturdays bring the return of Café Bizarre which is a theatrical evening of drag and burlesque, midweek ladies nights hosts Oui Oui Chérie for cabaret and cocktails, and Sundays slow down with live jazz sessions paired with dim sum.
Certainly, the glamorous new Lulu’s Lounge at 208 South Bridge Road needs to be on your nightlife agenda from June 2026.
