Singapore has recently announced the lifting of the mask regulations on public transport, as part of their process of easing community regulations. This new regulation will come into effect on the 13th of February, and will be accompanied by a general move towards more relaxed restrictions.
Other updates that will be coming into effect at the same time are that travellers no longer need to buy Covid insurance when travelling to Singapore, and travellers who are not fully vaccinated do not need to show negative test results at the airport.
Masks will still need to be worn in other settings such as inside clinics, hospital wards and nursing homes. It is also still advised to keep up to date with vaccinations, and stay cautious when around the elderly and those who are immune compromised.
It has been 3 long years of Covid restrictions, so it is encouraging to see that we are slowly moving back towards normality.
