Nintendo’s highly anticipated next-generation console, the Nintendo Switch 2, is set to launch worldwide on June 5, 2025. However, Singaporean gamers will need to wait a little longer. According to Nintendo Singapore, The Switch 2 will debut in Singapore between July and September 2025. This staggered release also applies to other Southeast Asian countries, including Thailand, the Philippines, and Malaysia. Here’s what we know about the Nintendo Switch 2 launch in Singapore.

The Nintendo Switch 2 price is yet to be confirmed in Singapore. Although, the console is priced at USD $449.99 in the United States. The pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch will begin on April 9 in selected regions. However, the Singapore pre-order dates are still unknown.
The Nintendo Switch 2 boasts several significant upgrades over its predecessor. It features a larger 7.9-inch LCD screen with a 1080p resolution and HDR support, offering a smoother gameplay with up to 120fps refresh rates. Meanwhile, it supports 4K resolution at 60fps when docked. Additionally, the revamped Joy-Con controllers now attach magnetically and can function as a mouse for specific games, adding versatility to gameplay. Other hardware improvements include increased internal storage of 256GB and enhanced audio capabilities with built-in microphones and noise cancellation.
Plus, the new Nintendo Switch 2 games include exciting titles like Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bonanza, and The Duskbloods, among others. These new games are expected to priced higher than existing titles. Some retailers are already offering pre-order packages with freebies in Singapore.
The new Nintendo in Singapore launches alongside the rollout of Nintendo Switch Online and the Nintendo eshop in Southeast Asia. Certainly, this marks a significant milestone for the region as players previously has to buy in other regions.
