You just got a very enticing new shop to check out, as On have opened their first flagship store in Singapore’s Jewel Changi Airport, to attract runners and shoe fanatics alike. Perhaps the word ‘store’ doesn’t do it justice, though; On’s CEO Martin Hoffman remarked that “This store is more than just a retail space — it’s a place where innovation meets community, inspiring runners of all levels to push their boundaries and realize their full potential.” Here’s what you can expect!
On, Jewel Changi Airport
A Swiss sportswear brand known for their remarkably comfy trainers and running shoes, On is renowned for pouring a lot of time and attention into the design and comfort of their shoes, to create footwear that’ll get you through marathons and shopping trips alike. The launch of the Changi store, which has been conducted in partnership with Singapore’s Gill Capital, marks one of their biggest forays into Southeast Asia – and where better to do that than Singapore?
The new retail experience unfolds across a two-storey space measuring over 9000 square feet. Each floor offers something different for visitors; seasoned runners will want to head to Level 1, home to the Performance Zone. This is where you’ll find the high-spec footwear and specialist gear to shave seconds off your 10k personal bests, including On’s popular Cloudmonster and Cloudrunner shoes. Level 2 is more geared towards everyday footwear – where you can grab a reliable pair of shoes for running errands – as well as a small but growing kids’ collection, and a tennis performance zone where shoppers will find products designed with tennis legend Roger Federer.
You’ll find the right shoes for most specialties here, include trail running shoes, training shoes, and carefully designed running shoes. Don’t miss the Magic Wall, which showcases a range of On products so that you can quickly pick out the perfect pair of shoes. The whole store has been designed around On’s “Dream On” philosophy, which blends nicely into the new Singapore surroundings, especially as the store’s façade was inspired by Singapore’s architecture, shimmering seas, and popular coastal running routes.
To connect with Singapore’s athletes and outdoor fanatics at a deeper level, the new On store will also become the home of On Run Club Singapore, which will bring together keen runners from around the city for training sessions, workshops, and weekly group runs. At least if you forget your running shoes, you’ve got options!
