Orient Express drinks, anyone?
Remember nightclubs, eh? They might seem like they’re slowly slipping away, but don’t fret! One day soon, we’ll hopefully be packing them to sellout capacity again. [Featured Image: @railsclub, Instagram].
But, in the meantime, we’ve got to look for some alternatives to fill the evenings. And, what better than a nightclub that’s been repurposed into a themed bar?
Rails was initially due to open as a nightclub in April 2020 but, well, you know what happened there. However, Singaporeans can still enjoy a few cocktails within its walls, as they’ve reimagined the spot into a Victorian railway themed bar.
The new bar comes from the brains of those behind Nineteen80 and Pinball Wizard, and is on track (ha!) to quickly become an essential part of Singapore’s nightlife.
Complete with dim lights, a steampunk clock tower and many vintage pieces on display, Rails will have you feeling like you’re stepping into a night on the Orient Express. Not only that, this little enclave in Tanjong Pagar is also a top spot to grab food and listen to recorded playlists curated by disco, house and downtempo DJs.
