Those of you who love to travel, listen up!
This industry, like many others has been heavily affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. But, now people on Singapore will be able to experience the beauty of Thailand once again. According to the Royal Thai Embassy, Singaporeans will be allowed to obtain a Special Tourist Visa (STV).
These visas are open to Singapore Citizens and also Permanent Residents (PRs). You can apply for the visa, which lasts for a minimum stay of 90-days, by following this link.
On top of the minimum period of stay, travelling Singaporeans will also be subject to a revision every 15 days by Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health. Applicants are also prohibited in taking up employment while away.
They must also show they have a deposit of at least S$21,673 in their bank. Alternatively, applicants can also prove they own property in Thailand, or submit accommodation they plan to stay in for their entire trip, with at least 25% of the payment fulfilled. On top of this, they must prove payment in full for where they are staying to complete a 14-day quarantine upon arrival, as well as having Thai medical insurance.
Everyone traveling will also need their passport to have at least 12-months remaining before it is due to expire. Passengers can only use Singapore Airlines to travel to Thailand, and STV visas run from October 7 until September 30, 2021.
