The acclaimed State Ballet of Georgia is set to debut in 2025 in Singapore with the timeless ballet classic Swan Lake. The highly-anticipated showcase will take place from September 11 to 14, 2025 at Sands Theatre in Marina Bay Sands. In fact, it’s the first time the Tbilisi-based company will come to Singapore in its 175-year history. Here’s what we know about Swan Lake in Singapore.

Experience the enchanting allure of Swan Lake in this world-famous production by State Ballet of Georgia. Presented by Base Entertainment Asia and Theatre Tours International, the exquisite Swan Lake is one of the most iconic ballets in the world. Audiences can expect a graceful choreography and a lavish production.
This particular rendition of Swan Lake has earned global fame, under the leadership of Nina Ananiashvili, and its ability to blend Georgian culture with classical ballet traditions. It promises a visual and emotional masterpiece, featuring around 70 dancers, mesmerising sets, quirky costumes, white tutus, and soothing musical numbers.
The ballet tells the tragic love story of Prince Seigfriend and the Swan Queen Odette as they battle the dark magic of Rothbart. The story was originally wrote as music by composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky in 1871 and it has developed into a world phenomenon through the ages. Tchaikovsky’s iconic score is brought to life through choreography by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov, with staging by Alexei Fadeyechev and Ananiashvil.
The unique production features a distinctive style, blending Russian and Italian ballet techniques, with Georgia’s unique cultural heritage. The two hour and 15 minutes Swan Lake performances in Singapore are scheduled from Tuesday to Fridays at 7.30pm, Saturdays at 2pm and 7.30pm, and Sundays from 1pm and 6.30pm. Additionally, tickets range from $69 to $198 depending on selection.
