Singaporeans are obsessed with fascinating sky shows—from supermoons to the Perseids and Draconids spectacles in recent weeks—any cosmic event quickly becomes a must-see for locals and tourists alike. And this November 2025, another stunning meteor shower and supermoon are set to brighten Singapore skies together. Catch the Beaver Moon and Taurids Meteor Shower in Singapore from November 5 to 9, 2025. Expect a larger and brighter supermoon than usual accompanied by the iconic meteor shower, which will produce slow, bright meteors and some fireballs zooming across the sky. Here’s what you should know about the double night sky show.
What is the Taurids Meteor Shower?
The Taurids Meteor Shower is a slow, annual spectacle lighting up night skies from October 20 to December 10, 2025. The meteor shower is famous for its dramatic fireballs and vivid trails that blaze across the constellation Taurus. Powered by debris from Comet Encke, this shower produces fewer meteors—typically five to ten per hour—but they’re often larger, slower, and brighter than most.
The Southern Taurids are expected to peak on November 5 at 9pm, while the Northern Taurids will be active on November 9 at 8pm. The best viewing times in Singapore are between midnight and 4am with around 10 meteors per hour expected, alongside occasional fireballs.
What is the Beaver Moon?
The Beaver Moon is one of the rarest supermoons of 2025. Named for the first time in North America when beavers retreat to their lodges for winter, the Beaver Moon appears especially big and bright because it’s at its closest point to Earth. In fact, this is nearly 356,000 kilometres away so it’s the second-closest supermoon of the year. Plus, it will be 7% larger and dramatically more luminous than usual. The dazzling supermoon will peak on November 5 after 7.30pm in Singapore and it will be visible across the city if skies are clear.

What to expect in Singapore
Stargazers in Singapore can expect intriguing sky spectacles as the fiery Taurids Meteor Shower coincides with the spectacular Beaver Moon—creating a celestial double act that’s both dazzling and rare. This will peak around November 4 to 5, delivering a supermoon that will outshine the fainter meteors, making only the boldest fireballs visible as they blaze across the urban skies.
Notable locations to view the November supermoon and meteor shower in Singapore include open areas such as East Coast Park, the Southern Ridges, and Marina Barrage providing unobstructed views. Otherwise, there are plenty of beaches and outdoor car parks to watch the spectacle. Be sure to view the Beaver Moon from 7.30pm and it accompanied by the Taurids between midnight and 4am in Singapore.
The next supermoon will be the Cold Moon on December 4, 2025.
