Step through the screen and into the Inner Palace
The Apothecary Diaries has always been a feast for the senses, filled with elaborate palace rooms, medicinal herbs, hidden motives and enough court intrigue to keep Maomao permanently suspicious. Walk through meticulously recreated scenes inspired by the anime’s most unforgettable moments, including Maomao’s herb-filled medicine cabinet and the shadowy palace corridors where seemingly innocent conversations carry far more weight than they let on.
Guests can admire original character concepts, background art, and animation stills that reveal the secrets behind the series. There will also be signature props from the show, including the pivotal hairpin, alongside character displays and plenty of opportunities to strike a pose and pretend you’ve been summoned into the palace on highly confidential apothecary business.
Maomao’s sharp mind is part of what makes her so compelling, and this exhibition doesn’t leave the problem-solving to her alone. Fans can challenge themselves to a game of Go, following Maomao and Lakan’s footsteps and adding another playful layer to the experience.
