Singaporeans can experience the thrill of mountains, rush of waves, and the excitement of skating – all under one roof – at a new attraction on Orchard Road. Trifecta Singapore is an iconic multitask sports centre opening on October 28 by adventure sports company, The Ride Side.
Located next to Somerset Skate Park, Trifecta is as a large as four Olympic-sized pools at a whopping 49,611 sq ft. It houses three action sports arenas offering unique experiences of surfing, skating, skiing and snowboarding, with use of virtual reality, to make you feel as if you’re on the sloops of Japan or Europe.
To celebrate the launch, the venue is organising a month of programmes and activities supported by Singapore Tourism Board. This includes Trifecta Music Festival featuring 28 artists, coaching sessions, live music, and skate clinics for youths by the world’s first Olympic women’s park skateboarding Gold Medalist and Red Bull Team Athlete, Sakura Yosozumi, on October 28 and 29.
Trifecta By The Ride Side Arenas
The sports entertainment facility features three arenas: Surf Arena, Snow Arena, and Skate Arena. This means that it is the first-of-its-kind in the world – not just in Asia.
Surf Arena provides a real-life surfing experience, using state-of-the-art, deep-water pumps, and waves of up to 1.5 metres, making it the largest Citywave surf pool in Asia. Waves can be customised depending on skillset. Therefore, it’s the perfect place to practice surfing in a safe environment.
Meanwhile, Snow Arena is Asia’s first VR snowboarding and ski space that will make you feel as if you’re confidently zooming down snowy mountains. The high-tech ski simulators and directional movements help to mimic the uneven terrain of mountains and transport visitors to ski resorts worldwide. Additionally, it boasts Asia’s only dry slope Freestyle Park to catch air and go wild in a safe setting.
Skate Arena is Singapore’s first hybrid skate bowl designed for surf-skate activities. It was sculpted by a famous skate park designer, known for Bali’s iconic skate bowls, to cater for maximum shredded in the pit.
Wonderfully, Trifecta will host a variety of classes for each extreme sport at different levels. While it’s possible for spectators to visit the centre to watch competitions for free.
Of course, Trifecta in Singapore makes snowboarding and skiing possible for locals whom may have never tried these kinds of sports in their lifetime.
Where To Eat And Shop
Trifecta and one of the best sandwich shops, Two Men Bagel House, have teamed up to create Butter. The 70-seater restaurant will be the perfect place to fuel up on delicious bagels, brunches, hearty bowls, healthy options, coffee, and so much more.
Additionally, there’ll be exclusive new items like Butter Flight, a choice of three unique flavoured butters paired with a bagel, pancake, croissant, or ice cream.
Plus, The Ride Side’s Flagship Retail Store inside the venue complements the sports experience. It features more than 50 brands from four lifestyle and board sports brands. Wonderfully, visitors can purchase customised clothing, the latest sports gear, accessories, and more.
