Travellers in Singapore will soon enjoy unprecedented convenience flying to South Korea’s famous Jeju Island—thanks to a new direct service by T’way Air launching in August 2025. Jeju Island is a popular holiday destination featuring stunning volcanic landscapes, beautiful beaches, scenic hiking trails, and some of the world’s most unique natural wonders. Excitingly, the South Korean budget airline will operate two new flights starting on August 16. These are TW166 from Singapore to Jeju and TW165 from Jeju to Singapore. And the best part? It’s set to be the most affordable flight route between Jeju and Singapore Changi Airport. Here’s what we know.
What’s special about these Singapore – Jeju direct flights?
T’way Air’s new service is particularly important for its affordability. Round-trip tickets start at just S$343.30—which includes 15kg of free checked luggage—an appealing offer for both leisure and business travellers looking to explore Jeju in South Korea without breaking the bank. Meanwhile, this new service gives travellers other options and competitive fares compared to the one held by Scoot’s Singapore-Jeju route.
Additionally, the airline plans to gradually ramp up frequency, with daily flights expected by September, making spontaneous getaways and flexible travel much easier for Singaporeans. Certainly, this new direct route to the island is a game-changer for the region. It takes up to six hours to reach the island from Singapore.
According to our research, this new route may be up to three times cheaper than previous routes—which involved a stopover at Seoul Incheon Airport.
Interestingly, T’way Air was the first South Korean low-cost carrier to serve a Singapore-Seoul route from May 2022. Overall, the new Singapore to Jeju direct flights service showcases T’way’s commitment to expanding affordable travel options between Singapore and South Korea.
