Changi Airport has once again transformed its terminals into a vibrant celebration of culture and sustainability with its colourful upcycled horticultural displays for June 2025. This year’s showcase, which builds on festive displays, features beautiful installations spread across all four terminals. These vibrant garden displays are made from repurposed and locally-sourced materials, and draw inspiration from classic children’s toys, storybooks, and garden-themed playsets. Here’s why you can’t miss the stunning displays at the airport.
Changi Airport’s new upcycled displays
Until June 30, visitors will encounter endearing motifs which comprise of a teddy bear, train, ladybug, and flowerpot. These are complemented by unique designs that highlight the beauty of recycling and the importance of environmental responsibility.
Notably, these stunning displays are crafted using around 100 square metres of upcycled textures-which is around the size of 4-room HDB flat. Additionally, the displays use repurposed materials like foam, metal parts, and wood.
Highlights include a vibrant 2-metre patchwork ladybug installation in Terminal 4, Terminal 1 Skytrain Station C’s charming fabric train with sunflowers, among other playful installations.
Overall, these cool upcycled horticultural displays demonstrate how discarded materials can be given a new lease of life through design and craftmanship. Definitely, one of the best things to do for free in Singapore this month.
