Our lives can fly by at a frenetic pace. Work takes over, the city rushes past and family commitments narrow the time we have to sit back, relax and care for ourselves. We slip into patterns and we don’t reflect on our habits. You might feel like you don’t need to, but stepping away from everything and into yourself for even a short amount of time can have major benefits. This is what Blue Sky Escapes is offering at their two-night wellness retreat—An Emergence of Self – Awakening New Patterns—in March.
From sleeping in a luxe, king-size bed in a 100-year-old villa amid a verdant nature reserve to the meals prepared by professional chefs and the range of practices and sessions run by experts to enrich your experience, your stay at Villa Samadhi will set you up for a return to the wider world feeling energised and prepared. It almost sounds too good to be true, but you have absolutely nothing to lose and everything to gain.
Wellness Retreat at Villa Samadhi
Your journey within will be difficult if your surroundings are not up to scratch. Thankfully, Villa Samadhi is a charming and absolutely free-from-fault space perfect for a wellness retreat. Your bedroom features a four-post, canopy bed with soft linen as well as an incredible, white-tiled and modern ensuite. You’ll be able to freshen up, relax and get ready for what’s to come in complete comfort.
The luxury hotel is also located in a stunning nature reserve, where quiet enclaves can be found throughout and strolls invite you to get lost among the plants and trees. A stay at Villa Samadhi is a much-needed respite from the hustle and bustle of city living.
Everything will be taken care of as well including all your meals, drinks and refreshments. Prepared by professional chefs using seasonal and sustainably sourced produce, the gourmet meals will not only nourish your body, but they are also sumptuous creations that tantalise tastebuds—three-courses, too.
Wellness Retreat Sessions
Although you will have some downtime during your stay at Blue Sky Escapes’ wellness retreat, the program is a loaded schedule of practices that have the intention of cultivating a positive environment for you and others to embark on your own personal journey.
From the active meditations featuring a variety of sound, movement and breath practices to the interactive and shamanic journeys that seek to connect us with our subconcious, you’ll be on an adventure of self-discovery. Drum circles will unite and rhythm will flow while sound baths will wash over you all and allow the mind and the body to relax, release, shift and restore.
The sound of nature will be a force in your Qigong dawn practice as will the Day of Silence that, at first might seem impossible, but will unfold as the day progresses to offer up insights, reflections and memories instrumental to who you are.
To guide you through the Emergence of Self – Awakening New Patterns wellness retreat are expert professionals in their fields. Your facilitators—Danielle Van de Velde, Wil Kolen and Stepahnie Bovis—have decades of experience between them and have pooled their specialties and techniques from traditions all over the world.
You won’t need any prior meditation experience to participate and you won’t be put off by any religious dogma as the methods, despite their ancient wisdom, are rooted in science and open to people of all or no belief system. Good to know: all sessions at the wellness retreat are optional.
