Singapore hosted the World’s 50 Best Bars 2023 awards at Pasir Panjang Station on Tuesday, October 17.
The 15th edition of the event was the first ceremony outside Europe in 15 years and the first time it moved to Asia. Additionally, it was the first-ever World’s 50 Best Bars to be hosted in Singapore.
World’s 50 Best Bars 2023 awards
The event ranked Barcelona’s Sips as the best bar in the world. But wonderfully, three Singapore bars made the World’s 50 Best Bars list for 2023 – making Singapore the only city in Asia to secure three top spots.
These bars include Jigger & Pony at 14th, known for stellar cocktails, followed by new entry Sago House at No.32, and one of our favourite bars, Atlas, at 48th on the list. Plus, Jigger & Pony ranked as the 2nd best bar in Asia.
Meanwhile, five other Singapore-based bars appeared on The World’s 50 Best 51-100 list. These are 28 Hong Kong Street at No.59, Manhattan at No.63, Nutmeg & Clove took 64th place, Analogue Initiative at No.78, and Native at 83rd.
Interestingly, the awards included bars from 28 cities and were picked from a pool of anonymous drink tasters worldwide.
