The 15th edition of the event, sponsored by Perrier, is the first ceremony outside Europe in 15 years and the first time it moves to Asia. Additionally, it’s the first-ever World’s 50 Best Bars to be hosted in Singapore.
Interestingly, the awards are picked from a pool of more than 650 anonymous drink tasters worldwide.
The World’s 50 Best Bars in Singapore will see a range of drink-related events taking place from October 14, for 50 Best Week, with the awards happening on October 17. Expect outstanding cocktails, guest bartender shifts, a 40 Best Closing Party Brunch on October 18, and an all-new 50 Best Signature Sessions – where global talent and local bars team up to create unique cocktails.
50 Best Signature Sessions in Singapore
50 Best Signature Sessions are ticket-only events showcasing the best bartending talent from abroad with the help of local cocktail luminaries. According to The World’s 50 Best, there will be six unique events featuring 15 bars from North America, Latin America, Asia, and Europe between October 14 and 18.
These events shine light on global cocktail techniques and skill, share knowledge, and work with 50 Best’s partners to create rare drink collaborations. For instance, popular bar Jigger & Pony will team up with Tjoget from Sweden for an evening of outstanding, flavourful whiskey cocktails on October 14. Meanwhile, a legendary boozy Dark Spirits Brunch, featuring 50 Best’s dark spirits partners, will take place at award-winning Manhattan Bar, alongside Vancouver’s Botanist Bar on October 15.
Additionally, Atlas plays host to Little Red Door from Paris and Seoul’s Southside Parlor on October 15 for White Spirits Night. Sip on nine creative drinks, listen to live music, and tuck into dishes by Michelin-starred Chef Daniele Sperindio from Art, and a quirky hawker station.
Over at Nutmeg & Clove, bars will gather from three continents on October 15 for the Nutmeg & Clove x Café La Trova x Scarfes Bar x High Five event. While Writers Bar will host Mexico’s best bar, Handshake Speakeasy, for an evening of agave spirits. Of course, we can’t forget about Italian night at MO Bar Singapore where guests can get a taste of Rome from Riccardo Rossi of Freni e Frizioni. Learn more on the World’s 50 Best website.
