Why does Bang Bao Beach stand out?
Bang Bao Beach in Thailand is celebrated as one of the most overlooked paradises. The beautiful beach is located on Koh Kood Island – which unlike most developed Thai islands – remains relatively untouched. The hidden gem is known for its serene, laid-back atmosphere, and pristine natural setting away from crowds.
Particularly, the beach is framed by lush jungle and features 800-metres of white-sand and crystal-clear shallow waters ideal for swimming and snorkeling. Meanwhile, the bay is protected by calm waters making it a safe swimming spot and the nearby fishing village adds to its authenticity. Plus, visitors can catch beautiful sunsets at the beachside cafes or take part in activities like snorkeling and kayaking. Wonderfully, it’s hidden away from the typical tourist hotspots of Thailand. Certainly, all these factors helped to rank Bang Bao Beach as the third best beach worldwide for 2025. Get the full details on the ranking here.
