The Van Gogh Immersive Experience has been the hottest event in Singapore since its opening, and now you can experience even more activities in the incredible venue. Enjoy a class of yoga nidra finding inner peace amongst the paintings, or get inspired to do a motion art class and be your own Van Gogh.
1. Yoga Nidra with Sophie at Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience
While I can’t imagine Van Gogh to be very interested in the daily practice of yoga (having only one ear wreaks havoc on your balance), he was surely interested in the meditative state of being consumed by an activity. Finding your inner zen and unwinding in this yoga class will be easy as you’re surrounded by some of the world’s most inspiring artworks.
Facilitated by professional yoga instructor, Sophie, you will be guided through your Nidra yoga flow surrounded by ever-changing post-impressionism imagery. Classes will be held on specific Thursday mornings in June at 9am.
The event will be a creative release for your mind, body and soul. Yogis of all experience levels will be able to marvel at 360° digital projections of Van Gogh’s artworks between vinyasas, while also focusing on building strength and flexibility. As the session comes to a close, you will be in the perfect frame of mind to wander through the rest of the incredible exhibition.
Cost: from $60 pp
2. Art Jamming Workshop by Motion Art Space
Motion Art Space is an original motion art experience from Singapore where you can create your very own masterpiece using motion energy, and they have now set up a workshop inside the Van Gogh exhibition. Being surrounded by some of the best artworks in the world, is a sure way to get those creative juices flowing, and this workshop is the perfect outlet!
During the workshop you’ll be able to choose from a variety of Van Gogh themed paints that are exclusive to this programme, and embody your inner post-impressionist. No art experience is needed, and while images of Van Gogh swirl around you, you’ll be able to create your own swirling masterpieces.
Sessions will be held on various Saturdays throughout June and July and there will be multiple time slots.
Cost: from $35 pp
