The grand opening of Singapore’s first AI-powered sports hub on May 10, 2025 marks a significant leap forward for youth sports and athletic development in the city-state. AiRENA Singapore serves as the official regional launchpad for Under Armour Next which is a pioneering youth fitness benchmarking platform. Excellently, the facility aims to transform how athletic potential is measured and nurtured by integrating advanced technology with elite coaching. Therefore, this method will reshape athlete development journeys for young Singaporeans. Here’s what we know about AiRENA in Singapore.
What makes AiRENA so advanced?
AiRENA boasts state-of-the-art features, including smart tracking technology by Qiuxiu and purpose-built zones surfaced with shock-absorbent Merry Flooring to maximize safety and performance. Additionally, the hub offers live combine demonstrations of the UA Next Human Performance System, allowing young athletes to receive real-time analytics on strength, speed, reaction, and agility. Indeed, these personalised scorecards provide actionable insights for athletes and coaches to create successful development plans.
Additionally, AiRENA is home to Project 95 Basketball Academy (P95). It it led by ex-national and professional basketball players. P95 goes beyond traditional basketball training to equip youths with all-rounded skills due to the belief that players spend 95% of the game without the ball. Interestingly, it is the only basketball academy in Singapore with an in-house gym to help athletes integrate strength and conditioning with court development.
Definitely, the new AiRENA in Singapore raises the bar for athletic training in Asia by blending cutting-edge technology with world-class coaching. Certainly, it will be a game-changer for sports enthusiasts.
