Born Restaurant launched in Singapore in June by the iconic 1855 FNB group in partnership with highly experienced Malaysian chef Zor Tan. Combining French gastronomy with Chinese flavours and ingredients…you’ll go on the ultimate multi-sensory food journey.
THE SPACE
Interestingly, the fine dining restaurant occupies the historic Jinrikisha Station which has been transformed into a unique restaurant space carefully preserving its history. Enter through a green and gold door to dine among beautiful white walls, high ceilings, wooden fixtures, artworks, pops of green golds and more.
Chef Zor helms the open kitchen implementing a philosophy weaving his childhood, memories, career journey and ideas into his cooking which blends French cuisine and Chinese flavours.
THE FOOD
The exclusive 9-course seasonal menu features dishes inspired by elements of Zor’s life experiences. For example, expect a selection snacks such as small rice dishes, pickled melon and eggplant with pork belly to begin your gastronomical journey.
For dinner, indulge on the likes of sweet Jerusalem Artichoke, hot monkfish doused with spices and grilled dry-aged pigeon paired with risotto, to name a few. Certainly, dessert is also unmissable.
