Singapore Best desserts

Because calories don’t count when it comes to dessert.

When it comes to a good dessert, we can all say that no matter how full we are, we always make room for it. That’s because desserts are a heavenly part of life and offer us a mood booster whenever we are feeling rough. From rich chocolate brownies, to traditional pavlovas, Belgian waffles and more, Singapore is popping with some of the most delightful global desserts ready to be swallowed by you. Here are eight of our favourite desserts from around the world and where to find them in Singapore.

1. Belgian Waffles

Larger than regular waffles, Belgian waffles have deeper pockets, perfect for holding mountain loads of ingredients, from Nutella, to maple syrup, ice-cream, sweets and more. Luckily, Dessert lovers can get their fix at plenty of Singapore joints. Try Sunday Folks for some marvellous indulgent varieties, from Dark Chocolate to Matcha, there is something for everyone. Excitingly, you’ll get a large portion of soft served ice-cream to dive into with your waffles.

This Spanish dessert is a fried dough with a fluffy inside and goes down heavenly paired with hot chocolate sauce. Indeed, there are plenty of popular go-to spots in Singapore, but you need to try the most authentic ones for the most pleasure. For instance, you could try the Signature wrapped churros such as Cheeky Monkey, with banana, Nutella and dark chocolate at the award-winning Churros Republic or else opt for churros with a scrumptious dipping sauce at Mexican restaurant, Chico Loco.

This beautiful Italian dessert is made of ladyfingers dipped in coffee, layered with a mixture of eggs, sugar, mascarpone cheese and flavoured with cocoa. A slice of Tiramisu is the pick-me-up you need whenever you’re feeling blue. There are plenty of spots in Singapore, but we love the dreamy selection of flavours over at L’Atelier Tiramisu. Think classic chocolate, dark cherry, matcha, Brulée, just to name a few. Our mouths are watering at the sight of the picture above.
