Brasserie Astoria, by The Frantzén Group, launched in Singapore in July. Concepted by famous Swedish chef and owner of The Frantzén Group, Björn Frantzén, the new restaurant exhibits an international twist at its first-ever outpost outside of Sweden.
Brasserie Astoria Singapore
Located at Victoria Concert Hall, Brasserie Astoria is set in a historic building with a grand dining hall featuring 123 seats, a 22-seater bar and lounge, and a beautiful private dining room for groups of 10 people. Interestingly, the venue takes a similar approach to design as the Stockholm flagship, which occupies an old cinema space, dating back to the 1870s.
The new restaurant will serve food from lambé trolleys, against the sound of a soulful playlist, in the large, elegant dining hall. Certainly, it’s the perfect place to enjoy an old-world dining experience with Nordic-inspired cocktails.
Food And Drinks
There is an extensive à la carte menu by Singaporean Head Chef and Zén alum Emil Cecil Ess. For instance, diners can look forward to Swedish-inspired rösti, dishes like Råraka, Norwegian king crab, Baltic prawns, authentic pizzas, and much more. The perfect pairing comes from a unique Nordic-style cocktail menu with Asian twists, as well as a large wine list.
Readers may be familiar with the Frantzén Group, who are responsible for dozens of gastronomic venues worldwide, including six Michelin stars, Word’s 50 Best Restaurants awarded eateries, and a three-Michelin-star fine dining restaurant – Zen – which opened in Singapore in 2018.
Brasserie Astoria opens for lunch between 11.45am and 2.30pm, and dinner from 6.00pm to 10.30pm daily. Book here. Already, it has received 5-star reviews by every user on google.
