We, Singaporeans, just love a hot new food trend. And delightfully, Japan has gifted us with a viral sensation by famous Japanese bakery Okashi Gaku. Foodies can indulge on iconic cakes-in-a-can aka Fuwa Cans from September 16 in a vending machine in Singapore.
These canned cakes feature a dreamy dessert packed into a transparent soda can that you must eat with a tall spoon. There’s a variety of options to select from. For instance, the Strawberry Shortcake is a chiffon cake with strawberries and whipped cream jammed together. While the creamy Tiramisu and Caramel Custard are serious-crowd pleasers in Japan.
Plus, there’s some flavours exclusive to Singapore such as Mango Chocolate and Matcha for all the matcha lovers. Prices for the canned cakes begin at $5.80 in Singapore.
Wonderfully, the vending machine hosting these canned cakes is located on Level 3 of the North Wing of Suntec City Mall in Singapore. So, enthusiasts will have 24/7 access to purchases. However, the vending machine will only be restocked once a week, so you must act fast.
Certainly, these popular instagrammable desserts are not in be missed. Excellently, Okashi Gaku stated more vending machines will pop up around Singapore before the end of 2022.
