Christmas Wonderland is one of the most magical Christmas events in Singapore every year. The 2024 edition will offer a range of new immersive experiences, even more light displays, festive performances, and plenty of returning fan favourites. What to expect at Christmas Wonderland 2024:
The 11th edition of Singapore’s biggest yuletide fair, Christmas Wonderland, features a supersized fairground with a sensational array of light displays, carnival games, festive activities, and even SNOW for the whole month until January 1, 2025. This year’s event boasts a number of new and old attractions spread across a range of themed zones.
One of the highlights for 2024 is that there is four times more light displays including a giant Ice Skate, Gift Boxes, Ornament Balls, and the redesigned 20-metre-tall Italian structure the Spalliera. Additionally, a larger-than-life displays of three adorable Merry Bears standing at six metres tall will put a smile on your face at the lawn.
Meanwhile, other new attractions include wandering through an enchanted forest at Blueberry Lane and the captivating Odette’s Dance which is an immersive experience that is a tribute to one of the world’s most iconic ballets, Swan Lake.
Experience one of the best Christmas snowfall sessions in Singapore with Blizzard Time. Enjoy snowfall in the tropics, surrounded by a 20-metre-tall twinkling Spalliera light installation, and a brand-new soundtrack titled Magic of Christmas by Dr.Darius Lim and Daniel Wong, which will enhance the festive atmosphere. In fact, this showstopping Italian handcrafted light display is as tall as five double-decker buses and lit up by 103,000 bulbs.
Additionally, the popular Walk of Lights at Merry Lane boasts a 65-metre long tunnel made up of 75,000 LED lights – making it the longest one in the festival’s history. While the charming Garden Rhapsody Light and Sound Show takes a festive twist dancing to Christmas tunes. Certainly, there are many ig-worthy moments around the park.
Other festive attractions
Soak in the holiday cheer with a fantastic selection of family-friendly activities. For instance, visitors can hop aboard the CDG Zig Express Christmas Train or ride on the one-of-a-kind, double-storey Venetian Horse Carousel. Otherwise, snap pictures with Father Christmas or play carnival games like Ring Toss, Fishy Fishy, and Snowball Smash, to name a few.
Additionally, you can meet Father Christmas at Santa’s Village, where families can take memorbale photos with Santa, outside a cosy lodge. Definitely, an excellent thing to do with children.
Expect dozens of food and beverage outlets to keep you full on your adventures. These include stalls selling delicious desserts such as churros at Churros Republic, chocolates, ice cream, burgers, beers, and much more. Plus, you can shop for Christmas gifts from cheerful elves along Mistletoe Alley. Meanwhile, there’ll be a huge line-up of entertainment including festive flash mobs, live music artists, dancers, and more.
