An exciting outdoor fun zone to entertain the kids this Easter.
After Big Splash Water Park closed for redevelopment in 2017, it has just opened a 4.5 hectare play zone renamed Coastal Playgrove Singapore. The site at East Coast Park exhibits Singapore´s tallest ever outdoor play area and slide.
Developed by NParks, it offers some breathtaking views of the sea, and features some enjoyable recreational activities to entertain kids of all ages. For instance, the play zone boasts a 16-metre high play tower which is a reconstruction of the iconic former Big Splash Tower, with nets and tube slides.

Kids over 13 can take on the Vertical Challenge which includes venturing through hammocks, a maze, a disc swing, bridges and so much more. Younger kids can delight in the leisure nets at the bottom of the tower, as this challenge would be too tricky for them.
There is also an educational nature garden where kids can learn about the planet and the environment surrounded by plants, bamboo tunnels, sand pit trails and teepee huts. This space is perfect for kids aged three to 12. Likewise, the planting area that imitates a forest attracts butterflies and exotic birds frequently to appease all the nature-loving little ones.
Excitingly, the park also hosts a water play zone with a stream that connects two main pools. It offers wheelchair access in the main pool area. Another impressive feature is the Outdoor Classroom By The Sea, which displays fruit trees and focuses on wildlife conservation.
And that is not all! The Once Upon A Time by The Tiara Society is a great amusement for parents and kids alike. Equally, if you are feeling piggish, there are plenty of food outlets like White Coffee, Burger King, and others.
NParks encourages visiting Coastal Playgrove in Singapore during off-peak hours. They also instruct that you abide by restrictions, practice social distancing and keep your group size to eight or under. Due to restrictions, some areas are only open Tuesday to Sunday, 8am to 8pm.
