George Russell, a talented 27-year-old British Formula 1 driver for Mercedes, delivered an impressive performance at the Singapore Grand Prix 2025 to be no.1. In total, he has achieved five Grand Prix wins and this is his second win of the season. He dominated the night races from start to finish, converting pole position into a commanding win with a total race time of 1:40:22.367.

Additionally, the top 5 finishers included Red Bull’s Max Verstappen at 2nd place—finishing just five seconds behind Russell—with Landon Norris of McLaren coming in third. Although, his on-track contact with teammate Oscar Piastri (who finished in 4th place) has caused controversy. Meanwhile, Kimi Antonelli of Mercedes rounded up the top five.
Race highlights
The F1 race in Singapore was filled with intense battles, especially within McLaren, where Norris and Piastri made early contact—causing some team tension but not affecting their final positions too heavily. The ruthless start for Norris saw him overtaking multiple drivers, earning himself third place, before a pit stop error hindered Piastri’s challenge for the podium.
Plus, Lewis Hamilton faced late brake issues but managed to finish seventh, just behind Charles LeClerc, who struggled with pace and grip on the Marina Bay Circuit. In fact, he has been very vocal about how difficult it was to drive the Ferrari car. Additionally, Fernando Alonso crossed the line at eight place.

Weather conditions
We previously reported the possibility of stormy weather over the F1 weekend in Singapore. Although, no major storm or rain took place during the race sessions. While there were some clouds and it was hot and humid with temperatures around 30°C, the track remained dry for the drivers on the circuit.

The 2025 Singapore Grand Prix saw an influx of global celebrities over race weekend.
