Mandai Wildlife Reserve is set to open the first cave restaurant in Singapore on March 12, 2025. Located at the entrance of the iconic Rainforest Wild Asia, Cavern Restaurant will be the only cave restaurant in Singapore making it one of the most unique dining experiences. The new dining destination takes inspiration from the UNESCO World Heritage Site Mulu Caves in Sarawak in Malaysia. Here’s what we know about Cavern Restaurant in Singapore:
Singapore’s first cave restaurant
Cavern Restaurant is where nature meets gastronomy in a cave setting at Singapore’s fifth wildlife park. Wine and dine under crystalline lights, reminiscent of nature cave droplets, making it a dining experience like no other.

Operated by the Tung Lok Group, the 150-seater restaurant replicates the limestone textures and crystalline aesthetics of the Mulu Caves, offering a visually stunning dining experience. In fact, Cavern Restaurant is part of the larger 220-metre-long cave zone known as The Cavern at the new wildlife park.
Diners can expect uniquely crafted menus, exceptional quality meals, and excellent cocktails or coffee from the 10-seater cave bar. Cavern Restaurant will serve International Western cuisine, under the watchful eye of Head Chef Sheng Lim, known for prestigious dishes in places like CE LA VI and JAAN.

Menu highlights
The unique culinary experience includes dishes like juicy Pulled Pork Tacos ($22), a creamy Crystal Cave Salad ($22) using Spanish burrata and heirloom beetroot, Grilled Octopus Skewer ($22), burgers like the classic Stone Age Burger ($22), Caveman’s Meat Skewer ($38) using Great Southern Tenderloin delights, and the hearty feast of grilled meats, chicken, and plump tiger prawns on the Hunter’s Board ($68), to name a few.

End the meal on a sweet note with a decadent Balinese Dark Chocolate Tart ($18) or quench your thrift with adventurous beverages like artisanal tea, coffee, beers, refreshing mocktails, and tropical cocktails. Highlights include Sng Buey Lime Margarita ($18), Mango Coconut Splice ($22), and Espresso Martini ($18) using award-winning Sacred Grounds coffee liqueur.

Meanwhile, the restaurant is committed to sustainability with eco-friendly practices. For instance, it uses mycelium leather for menu covers and reduced glass water alcohol suppliers.

The innovative dining experience sits within the park’s immersive rainforest setting. Learn more about Rainforest Wild Asia. Certainly, Cavern Restaurant is a wonderful romantic meal, special birthday dinner, or group event in Singapore this season.
