Because love is love!
Happy Global Pride Month! Time to celebrate the LGBTQI community worldwide by taking part in various virtual festivals, programmes and events. And, it just so happens, the ever-evolving Pink Dots is hosting a digital movement this Saturday.
Pink Dot SG was formed in 2009, and hosts an annual event in support of the lesbian, gay, transgender, bisexual and queer community in Singapore. The event involves participants gathering to form a ”pink dot” to showcase inclusiveness, diversity and freedom to love.
Excitingly, on June 12 at 8pm, the non-profit Pink Dots digital movement calls on attendees across Singapore to light up in solidarity to support the LGBTQI community.
The group should be embraced by Singaporeans because they believe that everyone deserves the freedom to love, with openness and acceptance. Likewise, they hope to bring LGBTQI Singaporeans closer to their family and friends, while providing their loved ones with a understanding of their sexual orientation.
To take part, all you need to do is sign up via the Pink Dots website. You must sign up with your preferred name, write a message of support and select the location in Singapore that best represents where you will be participating.
