Jewel Changi Airport has transformed into a dazzling Disney utopia to mark nearly 100 years of Disney storytelling by The Walt Disney Company. The Disney 100 event offers a range of magical Disney-themed activities and retail experiences to enjoy until April 2023.
Light And Sound Show
Be mesmerised by the Disney100 Light And Sound Show at HSBC Rain Vortex until April 9. This exclusive experience features a host of well-loved characters from iconic Disney movies over the century, displayed on the waterfall with a special light show. Plus, visitors can sing-a-long to classics such as You’ve Got A Friend In Me and A Whole New World.
Wonderfully, there’ll be a free public meet-and-greet with some beloved Disney friends between January 13 – 15, at 1pm, 2pm, 4pm and 5pm – for all those who want to snap fond memories with characters.
Free entry to Canopy Park
Why not get in on the action yourself by dressing up as your favourite Disney character to win free entry into Canopy Park? From January 13 – 15, get creative and embody a character from Inside Out, Toy Story, The Lion King, Disney princess films, or anything you desire. But only those dressed as a Disney franchise character will be granted free admission.
Photo ops
A host of enchanting Disney100 displays have been set up across Jewel in collaboration with Singapore Tourism Board. At Shiseido Forest Valley, walk through a magical Disney100 archway or pose in front of a 4-metre tall Mickey Mouse.
Explore 10 different instagrammable displays, inspired by scenes from Disney, Marvel, Pixar and Star Wars shows and movies at both Canopy Park and Shiseido Forest Valley. These include the first-ever Disney animation with sound, Mickey Mouse Steamboat Willy (1928) to the most recent beloved Encanto (2021). The childhood nostalgic photo displays end on April 9.
Disney shopping
Disney merchandise and collectables are available to buy. A Disney-inspired Year of the Rabbit Tsum Tsum pop-up store is opened until the end of February 2023 before it’s changed into The Wonder Store until June 2024. This new concept will offer a selection of merch from across the Disney family franchise.
While a range of other Jewel stores will be selling Disney-inspired items. Excitingly, shoppers could win an all-expenses paid trip for four to Hong Kong Disneyland.
“We are proud to be bringing a touch of Disney’s iconic stories and characters to travellers, fans and families in Singapore to create delightful memories together,” James Fong, CEO of Jewel Changi Airport Development, said in a statement.
The Disney 100 experience at Jewel Changi Airport is a thrilling place to make memories with family and friends this season.
