Bored of the traditional shopping mall visits? If you’ve been sticking to the exact same weekend routine, it is time to rethink your plans because Singapore’s retail scene is set for a massive and highly aesthetic upgrade. Excitingly, Kallang Wave Mall recently announced an epic $21 million transformation, coming hot on the heels of City Square Mall’s newly completed $50 million makeover. Wonderfully, Kallang Wave Mall’s upgrade features everything from Michelin-rated dining to the tallest climbing wall in Southeast Asia, brand-new sheltered rooftop padel courts, a gigantic lifestyle hub for pets. Here’s what to expect.
What is Kallang Wave Mall actually getting in this epic upgrade?
Kallang Wave Mall’s upcoming adrenaline-packed $21 million makeover will begin construction in May 2026 and wrap up in 2028. As part of the revamping, the nostalgic Spalsh-N-Stuff will be demolished to make room for more modern facilities. This includes Climb Central, an iconic indoor rock climbing wall at a height of 21 metres, making it one of Southeast Asia’s tallest climbing walls. And once you reach the top, you’ll earn yourself an unbeatable panoramic view of the Kallang Basin.
Additionally, the mall’s revamp will include six new sheltered rooftop padel courts, that are perfect for casual rallies and competitive weekend matches. Meanwhile, a massive Pet Hub by Mutts & Mittens is taking over the park connector, complete with a pet pool, a pet bakery, and full grooming services for a hangout day with your pet. Plus, the New Balance Run Hub offers a fresh recovery centre with ice baths and cold plunges for those with an active lifestyle.

To refuel after all the fun, visitors can look forward to upgrade alfresco dining zones that stretch right along the scenic Stadium Park Connector waterfront—where you can unwind at new bistro pubs, trendy cafes, and family-friendly restaurants. Plus, there are plenty of quick beverage spots such as bubble tea, and stores to browse around before going home.
