KLIA was ranked as the fourth most instagrammable airport in the world, overtaking the famous Changi Airport, which is now ranked fifth on the list. Miss Tourist, a Singapore-based travel platform, conducts an annual study which analyses Instagram hashtags usage across fifty of the world’s busiest airports based on passenger traffic.
The #1 most instagrammable airport in the world is Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) with 3.3 million hashtags, followed by San Francisco International Airport (SFO) with 1 million hashtags and London Heathrow Airport (LHR) with just over 760,000 hashtags.
Meanwhile, KLIA garnered more than 600,000 hashtags on Instagram, where as Changi Airport only accumulated around 582,000 hashtags.
