Dozens of cool things to do have been announced for 2024 in Singapore. Wonderfully, one of those events is the iconic Light to Night Festival returning for its eight edition this weekend on January 19. Here’s what we know:
Light to Night Festival 2024
The Light to Night Festival has a new theme for 2024 of Reimagine. Visitors can look forward to more than 60 different art programmes and exhibitions from January 19 to February 8, 2024.
Once again there will be Art Skins illuminating landmarks such as the National Gallery Singapore, Victoria Theatre, The Arts House, Asian Civilisations Museum, Victoria Concert Hall, and more places in the Civic District.
Meanwhile, the festival features new light projections and larger-than-life installations by Southeast Asian artists. From Rebecca Tan to Lee Wen, Justin Loke, and more…you’ll be spoilt for choice. The series of diverse programmes invites visitors to reflect on the unexpected and unconventional exploration of topics, using inspiration from history, origin, and national collections. Certainly, one of the best immersive experiences this January.
2024 programmes
From art work scavenge hunts and workshops, to new light projections such as Teo Eng Seng: Living the Life on the facade of National Gallery, self-guided tours and a pop-up arcade at the Asian Civilisations Museum, a quirky bookstore at The Art House, and more activities…you’ll be spoilt for choice.
Delightfully, entry to all exhibitions is free for both locals and tourists. But there are some ticketed experiences from as little as $5 such as Wishful Thinking by WhisperLodge and interactive adventure tours like Dungeons and Dragons: The Art Quest in the Supreme Court Lobby.
Plus, there will be dozens of F&B stalls at the Art X Social Festival Village on St Andrews Road and Basement X Art Market at National Gallery to the delight of foodies. Additionally, you can relax to a variety of live music performances. Learn more about Light to Night Festival in Singapore.
