2. Age of Innocence
This new duo exhibition by iconic Japanese and manga inspired artists Takeru Amano and Yumiko Igarashi is on until April 2024 in Singapore. It launches as part of Singapore Art Week on January 18 for the first time. Visitors can admire a girly manga aesthetic featuring wide-eyed girls inspired by pop art, edgy sweet prints, plenty of pink, and more from 12pm to 7pm daily. Learn more about the exhibition.

3. New World’s End
OH! Open House’s first permanent installation is a 60-minute immersive street art and audio tour. It’s one of the best immersive experiences to do in Singapore. Pop on a headphones set, and take a stroll through back alleys and hidden fantasy rooms to explore the evolution of rich and historical Jalan Besar neighbourhood with the help of Kiran and Rosa, as well as travelling back in time to the 1960s to enhance the experience. Plus, you can end the night with a drink at a secret pop-up bar.

4. Siapa Nama Kamu?

5. Immersive Disney Exhibition
This magical Disney exhibition at The Sands Theatre inside Marina Bay Sands has been extended until February 24 due to popular demand. 6. Chinese Christian art from the Vatican Museums
Asian Civilisations Museum and Anima Mundi present this special exhibition at Christian Art Gallery. It’s a year-long programme dedicated to cross-cultural collections which boasts a selection of Chinese Christian art from the Vatican Museums in Rome, showcasing how the Catholic Church was able to incorporate traditional Asian elements into its art. Drawn from the Anima Mundi, these are little-known treasures of Christian art made in Asia.

7. Ho Tzu Nyen: Time & the Tiger
Singapore Art Museum is hosting a solo thought-provoking exhibition by critically acclaimed Singaporean artist Ho Tzu Nyen. The exhibition, Ho Tzu Nyen: Time & the Tiger, features eight major installations that have travelled across the world including a new commissioned titled T for Time of Ho’s work over the past two decades. It spans two decades worth of films, theatre, video, and paintings drawing on historical events and more interesting factors. Enjoy this exhibition at Tanjong Pagar Distripark until March 3, 2024.

8. Ronald Ventura: An Introspective
Featuring characters ripped from popular culture (expect to see familiar faces from Pokemon, Naruto, and SpongeBob SquarePants, amongst others), Ronald Ventura explores the way in which different cultures interact, and how cartoons and emojis take on new meaning in an ever-changing world. Subversively good stuff!

9. See Me, See You: Early Video Installation of Southeast Asia
Part 2 of this fascinating retrospective at Singapore’s National Gallery (the first part ran from May-September 2023) looks at artists such as Heri Dono from Indonesia, and Singapore’s own Vincent Leow. The exhibition seeks to understand and explain why Southeast Asian artists turned to video installations for their work, and how identity and landscapes, amongst other topics, were shaped in the region.

10. Liu Kuo-sung: Experimentation as Method
Working as a master of Chinese ink-painting, Liu Kuo-sung created a variety of masterpieces across his 70 year career, and this exhibition offers the best chance to explore his legacy. More than 60 paintings and 150 objects from the artist’s personal archive are on display here.

11. Love The Last March
This new outdoor exhibition features one of the largest bronze sculptures globally, created by famous artists Marc and Gillie, boasting 45 of world’s most endangered animals marching together. The mission of the project is to create awareness to protect wildlife from extinction and inspire action, and it’s a lovely one for all age groups.

12. Harry Potter: The Forbidden Forest Experience
This outdoor museum-style exhibition opens in Sentosa on February 3 for limited time only. Tickets are on sale now and they are selling FAST. 15. LKY100 – The Boy Who Became Prime Minister
The Boy Who Became Prime Minister is one of the most inspiring and interactive exhibitions in Singapore right now. Taking place at The Children’s Museum and featuring 20 interactive rooms, it tells the story of Mr Lee Kuan Yew‘s life and career, and how he became prime minister. It’s the perfect tale to inspire children and teach them that they can achieve extraordinary things.

16. New Eden: Science Fiction Mythologies Transformed
This should be a fascinating one; 24 Asian women artists and collectives exploring the origins of science fiction across eight chapters. Drawing on Western science fiction’s inspiration from Asian philosophy and spirituality, this interdisciplinary show looks at concepts including parallel dimensions, transcendence, and more. Work from Singaporean artists such as Kara Chin and Chok Si Xuan will feature, along with voices from across Asia and the world, for an entirely new look at the world of science fiction. 17. Now Boarding: Experiencing Singapore through Travel (1800s-2000s)
Now Boarding: Experiencing Singapore through Travel (1800s-2000s) at the National Museum of Singapore brings visitors on a journey from Singapore’s past to present using four thematic zones. From transport like Changi Airport’s iconic flipboard to old pictures, nostalgic accommodations, hawker lifestyles, IG-worthy rooms, and other everyday experiences, it’s an interactive space to learn about Singapore’s history and culture. 18. Mars: The Red Mirror
An upcoming exhibit at Singapore’s famed ArtScience Museum, humanity’s fascination with the red planet will be examined once more.
