Work to construct Universal Studios‘s epic new feature, Minion Land, began in May 2022.
The exciting new attraction set to open in 2024, inspired by the Despicable Me franchise, takes over the former Madagascar zone in the park. It will feature all-new thrilling entertainment facilities, such as the world’s first-ever Minion 3D ride, exclusive to the Singapore US.
This new ride called Despicable Me Minion Mayhem uses captivating motion-simulator 3D technology and near-realistic projections of the Despicable Me world to make visitors feel as if they are right next to the chaotic characters.
Additionally, Minion Land will feature an array of other delightful adventures and new state-of-the-art rides as well as iconic themed restaurants and shops across the zone.
Wonderfully, Minion Land in Singapore will be the first theme park attraction powered by renewable energy in the entire region. This new attraction is also part of $4.5 billion expansion of RWS. For instance, S.E.A Aquarium has received a revamp, with Oceanarium tripling in size.
Meanwhile, RWS is also refurbishing the Resorts World Convention Centre, as well as three hotels – Hard Rock Hotel Singapore, Hotel Michael and Festive Hotel, in phases until 2024.
Definitely, Minion Land coming to Singapore will give tourism the ultimate boost.
