
Several new bus services are set to launch in Singapore as part of ongoing efforts to enhance public transportation. Particularly, five bus services will be introduced in the next two weeks in the Kent Ridge, Mayflower, Boon Lay, Bishan, Ang Mo Kio, and Hougang areas. These new bus services will better serve passengers across Singapore. Here’s what we know about these new transportation routes:
New bus services Singapore
The new bus services launching in March 2025 include 71A from March 17 which operates from Mayflower MRT station to Bishan MRT station. Operated by SBS Transit, this new short trip bus service runs from 6.53am to 8.30am on weekdays only. There are 17 bus stops along the way before terminating along Bishan Road.
Additionally, a new short bus service 92B from Kent Ridge MRT station to Singapore Science Park 1 starts on March 24 by operator SBS Transit. Service 92B will begin at Exit B Kent Ridge MRT station, and finish at the bus stop in front of Kent Ridge Station, after 11 bus stops. Meanwhile, the bus service will operate from 7.50am to 9.11am on weekday mornings.
Another short bus service 112B offers passengers an extra transport route from Hougang Central Bus Interchange to Block 321 Hougang Avenue 7 from March 24. It will boast five bus stops along the way and operate on weekday evening peak hours between 5.30pm and 7.13pm.
Additionally, supplementary bus service 258M complements the existing bus route service 258. The new 258M will follow the same route as 258 but call at seven bus stops along the way. It will replace service 258 over the weekends (Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays) from 6.30am to 12.30pm, running every 11 to 13 minutes.
Meanwhile, a new supplementary bus service 138M by SBS Transit will take passengers from Ang Mo Kio Bus Interchange along four bus stops, before ending at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6, from March 15, 2025. It runs every 30 minutes on weekdays from 7.30am to 5pm, and Saturdays from 7.30am to 1pm only. Interestingly, this new bus service aims to improve accessibility to Ang Mo Kio Polyclinic.
